AIR QUALITY

Our population is forecasted to double over the next 30 years. Similar growth forecasts can be made for the particulate emissions that go into the air we breathe. Along the Wasatch Front, the three leading sources of air pollution are mobile vehicles, area sources like homes and businesses, and industrial sources. While the tools we have available to address these challenges are limited, we can all do a little more. Education campaigns that encourage individual responsibility, and meaningful regulatory reforms will encourage industry to cut emissions while protecting their economic viability.

As a homebuilder I have tried to lead by example when it comes to air quality and energy efficiency. I was the first large scale builder in Davis and Weber counties to offer 90% and 95% efficiency furnaces and 2×6 exterior walls with R19 value insulation as standard features on every home we build.
